After repairing my photos, my photos have started uploading from scratch

I had some problems with my photos "unable to upload", so i did photos repair.

Unfortunately , when i turned back the application, the photos were to be uploaded from scratch

I there a way to solve this issue?

Only new photos will be uploaded. The ones that are already there will not be duplicated unless there is an oops.

Unfortunately Photos will upload tall of the files in full as stated in this Apple document: Fix missing or incorrect thumbnails in Photos - Apple Support.

The following is from that document:

Regenerate missing thumbnails with library repair tool

If a large number of your pictures' thumbnails are missing, you can regenerate them with the Photos library repair tool:

  1. Quit Photos.
  2. Open Photos while pressing the Command and Option keys.
  3. Click Repair in the dialog that appears.

This process recreates thumbnails for all the master images stored in your Photos library.

Note: If you use iCloud Photo Library with Photos, this action will cause Photos to re-upload all your pictures.
