Q: attach second monitor to older MacPro
I am considering the purchase of a (used) monitor (Apple Cinema Display 23" Aluminum A1082 LCD DVI M9178LL/A) for a second monitor (same as what I've got now for the first monitor) with my 2008 MacPro3,1. It does not include the power adapter. What is the power adapter that I need and how would the monitor interface to the MacPro since the one DVI port is already taken? Presumably, a PCI-e card would be required? Recommendations as to what kind (make/model) to get?
Thank you.
Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

The 2008 MacPro 3,1 has two DVI ports. Later models may have one DVI port and one or two Mini DisplayPorts. For those you need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.
