how to use novation launchpad in mainstage

Hey i recently purchased a novation launchpad for two reasons... i wanted to create a show like on youtube. and i wanted to use it as a pad controller in mainstage and garageband... but in mainstage and garage band too i believe it does not work correctly... every button works but everything is out of order. anyone know how to fix this??? and if not can i block just the launchpad. i use an akai professional mpk25 (which works perfectly). i would like to use it in mainstage and the launchpad in ableton at the same time...
