Looking for tutorials to help me achieve something like this?

I have been searching for some tutorials for Motion that would help me make weird music videos, but I can't seem to find what i'm looking for. I would like to create stuff like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FavUpD_IjVY in Motion 5, if possible.

I saw someone else made a great looking video using only Motion 5, here https://vimeo.com/32466735. I would love some tutorials or help that could get me closer to achieving stuff like these videos.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any info!

For your first example, it's unlikely you are going to find a tutorial that covers all of the techniques used. Much of what appears to be happening is based on basic concepts of compositing and animation. Understanding basic principles like masking, grouping, blending would go a long way. Once you understand basics you can make things as "weird" as you can imagine.

The second example is very easy, with a few exceptions (some elements look like they were created in a 3D software). Again it's all basic principles of creating layers and animating them. I would start with training from a place like Ripple Training or do a web search on some basic Motion tutorials (Animation, layers, Behaviors, Masks, etc.). Good luck.

I guess, most of 'effects' in the 2nd example covered with this tutorial-set

http://www.rippletraining.com/products/motion/mastering-the-camera-in-motion-5/

about the 3D-ness of Motion; I notice heavy usage of Depth-of-field, which is, if you know how, easy to accomplish.

But…

what fascinated me most is the ARTWORK - and that's not a Motion, no software thing at all, that's … art. 😉
