My safari tells me I'm offline even when I'm conned to wifi
how do I fix this I've tried there different wifi accounts at my school and it tells me I'm off line and I can't connect to the itunes Store or the app store either

Have you contacted school IT staff?
May be a proxy issue.
Deselect Proxies if selected.
System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
Unlock the lock if you have to.
Keep a record of default settings.
Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if check marked.
Click "OK" then "Apply”.
Test.
