May be a proxy issue.
Deselect Proxies if selected.
System Preference > Network > Advanced > Proxies Tab
Unlock the lock if you have to.
Keep a record of default settings.
Under "Select Protocol", uncheck any box if check marked.
Click "OK" then "Apply”.
Test.
