today I updated my OS to OS Yosemite 10.10.4 and can no longer open iPhoto. I click the App Store but it says the app is not available from U.S. app store. Where can I get updated iPhoto app that is compatible to get my photos? Are my pictures completely gone 😟. I'm not a tech person, someone please help me.
If you were running a 9.x version of iPhoto before you upgraded, then you can follow these instructions to get the app back on your Mac:

Thanks Gail, i read this but i never purchased it so it's not in my purchased app, so now i don't know what to do. I want to cry because my pictures are gone and i don't know how to get them back 😟
Your photos are not gone. When you upgraded to Yosemite, your iPhoto Library was migrated to the Photos app. Look for this icon on your dock:
And click on it to see if your Photos library will open for you.
You did check to make sure that your iPhoto app was not hidden?

ok so they're not gone makes me sight a little but still freaking out that i can't get this. The icon is not on my dock, i'm not a tech person so not sure how i can fix it.
OK, go to your Finder, and look under Applications. See if you can find the Photos.app. Once you locate it, double-click on it to open it and see what you can see. Post back if that is not successful, and I will see if I can get one of our resident Photos experts on this. 🙂
