Q: Does Microsoft Remote Desktp app work on the iPad mini?

Bought a new iPhone 6+ a week ago. Loaded the Remote Desktop app and it works fine. Put it on my iPad mini, but just will not connect. Even went so far as to upgrade from a mini1 to mini2. Still no luck.
