    iPads and iPhones use a printer protocol called AirPrint. This is a wireless printer connection.

    First you must have a printer that supports AirPrint. Check your printer model on the list included in the Apple support document I link below. If your printer supports AirPrint, the normal procedure to print from an iPad is to select the share icon (the square with upward pointing arrow) then select Print from the choices provided.
