my iMac sometimes drop my personal wireless signal and pick the wireless printer signal

Hi i have a iMac running OS El Capitan version 10.11.1

My iMac is connected directly to the Router via ethernet cable.

Sometimes i will say most every couple of days I noticed that the connection to theInternet is switched to the signal from my wireless printer, and I need to manually

switched back to my personal (Router signal), so far that is the only corrective action I had taken.

TIA

If you're using Ethernet, you don't need Wi-Fi to connect to the same network. Turn it off. The printer should be connected to the network via the router. You may have to change its settings. Please refer to the manufacturer's documentation.
