None of my emails will send

Every time I try to send an email through any of my email addresses I get "cannot send because password for hotmail is incorrect." I have deleted and re downloaded hotmail 1/2 a dozen times and still get this, even changing passwords doesn't help. Even icloud gives the same answer. I've gone to the edit smtp list and there is nothing there. I am basically computer illiterate (why I own apple). Can anyone give me very simple directions on how to get mail sending again on any of the servers?

thanks

Open Keychain Access and look through the various entries until you find one relating to Hotmail. When found, select it and then hit the delete key.
