I try to launch iPhoto, which opens for a few seconds, then it crashes and i get a pop-up window inviting me to report the fault to Apple. I've done this…what next? Any idea how I can fix iPhoto please?

- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.

Thanks Terence. I have no idea what version of iPhoto I have, nor do I have any idea what version my OS is. Any tips on how to find this info would be appreciated. My knowledge of Apple computers is very very basic.
The problem is that when I click on the iPhoto icon at the bottom of my screen, it opens iPhoto for all of about 3 to 4 seconds, iPhoto then disappears and I get an on-screen message saying "Photo quit unexpectedly", then gives me options to 'retry', Report' or 'ignore'.
This issue has only started 2 days ago, I've not installed or deleted anything.
I've tried switching off and restarting but no luck. I've clicked the 'report to apple' option, and get a huge list of unintelligible numbers and letters etc that means absolutely nothing to me.

A lot of older versions of iPhoto 11 are having this right now:
Huxly647 figured out this fix
1. goto /Applications/iPhoto.app/Contents/Resources
2. delete the files ' googlemap.html ' and googlesearch.html
Iphoto no longer crashes, places doesn't work but it doesn't bother me too much.
When I try and launch iPhoto, it opens for about 3 seconds, then crashes and disappears.
