"Smart Strings" go quiet!

Hi All,

I'm migrating from Logic7, I'm doing ok but have hit an issue....

I have put a piece in a song using "smart strings" controlled from the ipad. Huge fun to play with.

All seemed fine until I play back a couple of hours later and the strings have to be turned up to full volume to hear them.

Now, in the course of those couple of hours, I may have trimmed the midi event to tidy up the arrange window (so the event lands on the bar). I'm wondering if I've deleted a pice of info? If I switch the track to a different string patch and then back again to "smart strings" it will play at the correct volume for a short while then back to quiet..... any ideas??
