How do I stop Safari 9 importing my Firefox bookmarks?

Ever since I upgraded a few days ago, Safari has replaced my old Safari bookmarks with my Firefox bookmarks. I have separate bookmarks on each browser because some websites work better on some browsers than others, so I like to keep most of them separate so I am better able to optimise my browsing. How do I get rid of my Firefox bookmarks from Safari and get my old Safari bookmarks back?

After several days, Safari asked me if I wanted to keep the Firefox bookmarks and gave me the option to get rid of them, so I guess it fixed itself eventually. No idea why it would just go ahead and import them in the first place though.
