My siri remote periodically disconnects and connects. while I'm watching a movie or netflix or you tube etc, I keep getting the pop up in the right hand of the screen that says "remote disconnected" then 2 seconds later I get the "remote connected" . It's annoying.. Its fully charged... I can't figure out what is wrong with it.. any suggestions?
Do you have the Apple TV in a closed cabinet? If the BT connection to the remote is weak it might be causing the connection to cycle.
its sort of enclosed.. it's in an entertainment unit but I thought there was enough space around the ATV... i'll try bringing it out and trying that...
Having the same issue. Nothing is blocking the device. About 10 feet away. Fully charged. Very annoying....somewhat distracting.
The only thing I haven't done yet is manually impair the remote and try to reconnect.
Any help would be appreciated.
well I moved the Apple TV to a completely open area and it still does it. It is distracting . Too bad there wasn't a way to shut off the notification in the right hand corner. This is the only issue with the new Apple TV I have.
hmmm something doesn't seem right. The only time I see the remote connect notification in the top right corner of my TV is when I first wake the ATV4 from sleep. I have not had one disconnect of the Siri remote when I'm using the ATV.
I Can't imagine. I really don't want to take this one back and have to set up and log in to all my apps again. i feared it could be faulty Bluetooth connection in either device.

I have the same problem. I bought the Apple TV 4 (32GB) and it worked very well, but for accident I washed my Siri Remote... so it didnt worked again (obviously) but my aunt gave me his Siri Remote and it works well, but after a couple of hours it had the disconections problems. I notice that they get fixed by restarting the device but it is really annoing? Someone knows if this can be fixed by restoring the device?

I assume you have paired the new remote wth ATV. There's very little that can go wrong here. Have you done anything else with remotes? Trained the volume control, trained a multifunction remote? Are other bluetooth devices in use nearby? Bluetooth shares the same frequencies as 2.4 GHz wifi, but uses many more, narrower channels. So, intensive wifi activity could upset the bluetooth remote link. Moving the wifi to 5 GHz seems like a winner here, if possible.
