Mac sleeps while playing music and movies

I think my mac confuses 'turn off display' and sleep, because everytime I am playing music or watching a move, the disaply turns off because of the power saving settings which tell the display to go off, and as a result, my music or move stops playing.

I dont even think the display should turn off in the first place if I'm watching a movie because the computer should not consider the computer as idle if I'm watching Netflix, it's not right, or if I'm listening to music in spotify, even if the display goes the music should still play because the computer is not idle. I dont think if I'm watching a movie, the computer should expect me to touch my trackpad every few mins.

All that being said, how can I erect this situation?
