Siri keeps updating old reminders, not creating new ones.

I'm having the same issues since update iOS 9. I used Siri for creating new reminders, it was great. Now it has become completely useless.

Every time I want to add a new reminder Siri updates on old one 😠

This is a really serious problem...I can't believe they have let this go. For awhile I could still occasionally get a reminder to schedule, not all that occurs is that Siri overwrites an old one with incorrect info. This is a real business killer for me, I need this feature badly.

From what I can tell, Siri does that when you have Reminders pending to be acknowledged in your locked screen or something like that. Not that it makes it OK, but at least if you keep your pending reminders "clear", it'll create them as instructed.

PS: This exact issue happens in Spanish too. It's really a pain for me as I had grown accustomed to use Siri for reminding me stuff but now I have so many of them that I can't reliably ask Siri to create new reminders.

I think you hit the mark. I've noticed this with the latest upgrade to iOS 10 - Siri updates an existing Reminder when I tell it to create a new one. It only seems to do this when I have a Reminder on my lock screen waiting to be acknowledged. Once those are acknowledged, Siri can then go back to creating new Reminders.

after months of not knowing what to do, i just told siri "can you remind me at 2pm to [do such and such]" (instead of "please set a new reminder") and siri did create a new reminder.
