Moving Aperature to a new iMac

Hi there,

I'm a rookie in here and might have posted a dumb question.. my apologies if so. I didn't see a clear answer recently.

I am purchasing a new iMac and will use migration assistant from my old iMac. I have Aperture version 3.6.

Is it possible to just use the migration assistant and have Aperture & my photos carry over ?

With Aperture 3.6, yes. Migration Assistent should suffice.

For the newer Aperture versions, sold from the AppStore, you can simply copy the application from the Applications folder to a new Mac, and copy your Aperture library. The older versions were better reinstalled using an installer.
