Q: Screen Blacked out

Hi, My phone's screen went black , however the phone is working as it can vibrate & receive calls .

After searching on the web I found that pressing the Sleep/Wake button & the home button for 3 seconds will fix it.

Unfortunately my Sleep/Wake button doesn't work . And I also found that restoring your phone through itunes will fix it.

As I try to restore it would say please turn off "Find My iPhone " . Then I turned "Find My iPhone"off using iCloud.com it still says "Please turn off "Find My iPhone" Before restoring...... Please help . Thanks

    Hi there Momi98,

It sounds like you have identified that the fact that the phone seems to be operational but the screen will not turn on and stays black. Resetting is a great step for that issue but you hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons for closer to 10 seconds or so:

To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201559

So try that one more time. If the issue persists and you want to try a software restore you will have to use Recovery Mode since you cannot disable Find My iPhone:

If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Keep in mind that if the screen doesn't turn back on after you restore the iOS then your phone will very likely need service:

Oh I see, thank you for the clarification. I misunderstood thinking you meant the reset method didn't work. Since it won't work correctly I would suggest setting your phone up for service at this point:

You most likely broke something in your phone. How long has the sleep/wake button not been working? I once broke the LCD on my phone and our problems were pretty much identical. I would recommend going to a certified and trusted repair shop, and ask them whats wrong with it. But be warned sometimes those fake repair shops will steal things from your phone.
