iPhone6 to Windows

I was recently trying to update my iphone6 and after I downloaded iTunes, my iphone6 is no longer being recognized and will not sync. I've followed every step in the online troubleshooting guide, checked the USB port (it does detect the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and other USB media), and even reinstalled iTunes. When I run the diagnostics under the Help menu in iTunes, it tells me that the iPod or device is not being detected. However, the USB port is functional, the iPhone is fully charged, and the only thing that has changed is the updated iTunes. I don't know what else to do 😟 Any ideas?

Try the following:

  1. Open Control Panel > Device Manager
  2. Plug in your device
  3. Locate Universal Serial Bus Controllers > Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
  4. Right-click and select Update Driver Software...
  5. Click Browse my computer for driver software
  6. Browse to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers or
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
  7. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
  8. Click Apple Mobile Device USB Driver
  9. Click Next, then Close and exit Device Manager
