Q: RAM up gradation of MacBook Pro

Can anyone please suggest me whether it is possible/suggested to upgrade the RAM of the bellow specific Macbook Pro to 16 GB? The machine has become very much slow now a days and become worse after upgrading to El Capitan. Any other suggestion will be highly appreciated to overcome this situation. Thanks in advance.

You can buy reputable apple compatible RAM from companies like Crucial and OWC.

Officially 16GB is not supported on your model. But in practise 16 GB works just fine.
