I understand that you are not seeing the option to download the Apple app for free with the purchase of your new iPhone. Let's see if we can get that sorted out.
I would take a look at the troubleshooting outlined below. I walk you through the steps to get iMovie, GarageBand, Pages, Numbers, Keynote and iTunes U downloaded to your iPhone 6s. This is also based on the fact that your iPhone was purchased brand new and not purchased second hand.

You should still be able to get the apps. I would make sure that you are signed in with your Apple ID and check the page again to see if the prices change to GET. If they don't, then I would recommend contacting Apple Support for additional support. The link below will get you started.

If you are sure you are using the right one be sure and make sure your password is correct, if not I forgot my password section of the Apple website. If none of this helps, I recommend going to the Apple Store to have it resolved.
