I had my brand new Mighty Mouse 2 charged for more than 24 hrs now, but it does not pair, when I switch it on, no leds are flickering. Is it a Dead on Arrival?

Are the batteries the right way round?
Not sure, there is a built in battery pack with the Mighty Mouse 2..... Can I open it to check?

Ah yes. Sorry, the battery is built in. I have seen an MM2 but not examined one and it is visually the same as the original. Were it mine and I had easy access to an apple store I would take it back.
First, though. Check the switch to the right of the optic, though unlike my mouse there appears no small green light above the switch. Very odd.
