iPhone 6s doesn't recognise headphones or aux cable

had the 6s since the release date and have been using aux cable and headphones with no problems. Now it has stopped recognising any aux jacks which are plugged in and only plays music through the phone speaker. there is nothing to block it inside the socket and I use the headphones that came with the phone. Great full for any insight anyone might have!

Try to force restart the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until you see the Apple logo again.

If this does not bring the earphone function back, you should get the phone checked by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider:
