i need help getting rid of text boxes all throughout my Word document

I can't seem to get these weird dotted outline boxes around everything in my Word document to go away. To be clear I'm using Word, not Pages, downloaded from my school's website. It was working perfectly until about a week ago and then I did something and now any time I touch the document more outliney boxes appear. Here is a screen shot of what I'm talking about:

Please help me get these to go away! I have a report due today at midnight!
