I passed my laptop to repair service to replace the battery, but I'm worried about the honesty of the service.
I'm afraid they will put used battery instead of new one.
1) Is there any service to lookup battery info by its serial number (similar to selfsolve.apple.com) ?
2) Is it possible to detect restored battery and distinguish it from new ?

Battery serial number and other information will be found in "Power", under "Battery Information". It is normal for a new or replacement battery to have two or three Charge Cycles.
Age of the battery?
If you are willing to download an app, coconutBattery will lookup the age and other details of the battery.

But I need to know how to use this serial number to retreive more official info from Apple.

Wonder, does it show a reliable info or some info that could be easily rewriten by those who put this battery in to my macbook. I heard that possible to reset charge cycle counter in the battery so you could not rely on it...
I have been using this app for about 4 years.
I found it reliable. But it is up to you to use it or not.
