New Trackpad 2 loses BT connection!

Up till today my new Apple Trackpad 2 has worked flawlessly. They all of a sudden today the connection to BT is lost and will not reconnect.

Battery charge in TP is 98%

I have unpaired the TP to my computer, restarted the computer and it says it has reconnected to the TP but obviously has not (can't move the cursor with the TP2)

I have no other BT devices running anywhere in the house.

I keep getting messages that the connection is lost.

Does anyone have any clues as to what may have happened?

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11), Also uses an iPad

You said "I have no other BT devices running anywhere in the house" but you show an iPad in your signature. Is your iPad's BT ON and possibly grabbing your trackpad? Otherwise, the only thing I've noticed is if I'm too far away from my BT keyboard or trackpad, I lose connection. But that's it.

Thank you for your reply. Actually I have solved the issue.

The problem was somehow the on/off switch on the back of the Trackpad 2 was somehow bumped and was half--way on (or off). All I had to do was click it fully off and then on again and it is back working perfectly since.

Have you introduced anything new in the way of electronics, the phone hub or moved whatever machine you are using to another position, perhaps where a neighbour's Wi~Fi is affecting it.
