I cannot play videos on CNNs site. Have OS X El Capitan on new iMac. Just a tumbling red square. Suggestions?

Websites that have embedded video players require a flash plug-in. Safari does not natively support flash. You can either download flash from the Adobe website, Or download a browser that has flash plug-in support. The best option I found is the chrome browser. I used to use the flash plug-in with Safari, but the flash plug-in if not constantly updated as a security risk for your computer. But if you download the chrome browser which is free from the Google website you will be able to use all of those websites.
