Cannot get mail. imap.virginmedia.com is not responding

I am constantly receiving the above message on both my iPad and iPhone. II have tried rebooting, deleting email account and reinstating. I have changed password. Nothing seems to work. It goes okay for a while then stops working again.

Virginmedia are currently having email problems (which apparently have been fixed by now) so check again once they're up & running again.

I too am a VM customer & this has been ongoing for a week or more for some.
