iPhone 6 has a faded circle on the back around Apple logo

I bought my Space Gray iPhone 6 in April and I've had a Spigen case with a back cutout for the Apple logo on it since purchasing it. This case was recommended to me by my carrier and it's performed well for me. However, I just recently removed the case to clean my phone and noticed that there is a noticeable faded circle around the Apple logo where the phone was exposed. I researched this question and couldn't find any other problems like the one I am experiencing. This is my third iPhone and I've never had this problem in the past. I have tried cleaning the phone with cleaning fluid that I bought from the Apple Store but I've had no luck. I wanted to buy a new, clear case for my phone but the fade mark is so noticebable that I refused. I'm not sure what to do, I feel that Apple should replace my phone because there is an obvious defect. I paid enough for this phone, so this kind of thing shouldn't happen.

I had this problem too. I tried scrubbing it with everything I could get my hands on. But Mr. Clean magic eraser is what finally got it off. No scrubbing. Just a quick wipe and it came right off.

Adam my phone has the same issue from a Spigen case that had a hole cut out for the logo. Really annoying that it would do this for the cost of the phone. Funny thing is is that the phone is in my pocket almost exclusively. Did apple do anything for you? I asked at the apple store and they basically told me oh well. Curious as to what they did for you. I've seen pictures of others having the same issue.

Hi Guys,

I have the same issue and I did noticed that circle once I bought the IPhone which means before I use any kind of covers or cases!

I was looking so long to find an answer but I still have no clue about it.

I just went to put a clear case on my rose gold iPhone 6s and noticed the same. I had an otterbox Commuter case that my phone carrier sold to me with the phone as "recommended" - and it has this same circle cut out to expose the Apple logo. It's also around the camera lens & flash as this as this was another cut out. This has to be a manufacturing issue - the faded circle appears to be pink - as if they first applied a coat of pink to the phone and then coated again with a transparent gold coat to get to the end result: rose gold. Anyone have Apple provide a replacement?? I certainly don't want to use the clear case I just purchased because it looks terrible - not to mention I don't want my ENTIRE phone changing this color pink if it has to do with exposure to light or something similar.
