MacBook 12 inch

Will a Macbook 12' last me through four years of high school? Will it still be [relatively] fast, and close to how it was when bought? (It will be handled with utmost care) I will use it for a lot of word processing, light graphic design (Photoshop, some Maya), email, web browsing (obviously), and very light gaming. What are your opinions? (I know about the Macbook Air 13, and 11 inch and the price difference between the Air and the Macbook 12', tell me your thoughts only on how you think the 12' will last).
