ipod configure message

I'm trying to reconfigure the ipod of my daugther with a different apple id (her own instead than mine) and I'm not able to configure the MESSAGE option

(tool to chat) Each time, it ask for her apple id, ask to validate the e-mail address we want to use and thats it. After, It bring me back to the first configuration

screen like if it was the first time I open the MESSAGE tool. I have already tested the applei id and it is ok.
