I'm trying to take an album and store it on a usb drive. It starts off fine and then finishes quickly telling me that only maybe 1/3 of my photos could be transferred. It does not tell me why or give me any other useful information so I'm at a loss to trouble shoot this.
I'd like to burn to a cd but now I'm afraid I'd have the same issue.

Unfortunately you don't tell us how you're doing what you're attempting to do so it's impossible to help you.
There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 10 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.
Sorry, seems I always miss some info. I'm using iPhoto 1.0.1 and running Yosemite. I highlight an album and then click export, choose to export by title then choose the usb drive from Finder. This is the first time I've tried to do this. Here is a screen shot of what I get...Since it has so little information on it I can't figure out what to try next. I'm am not an expert at all....just occurred to me...do I need to format the usb drive first? Man if that's all it is I'm such an idiot. My brain just doesn't think of these things!
You're using the new Photos.app not iPhoto. The forum for that is here
Can you export these to the a folder on the Desktop?
Thanks....I thought it was the wrong location but couldn't find anything else. I have reposted. I can export to a folder on my desktop and will try that. Hopefully the Titles will stay as I have them...that's my other issue you've addressed.
Is this a flash drive or and full sized EHD connected by USB? In either case export to a folder on the Desktop and drag that folder to the drive.
Thanks to all who suggested this. It works....keeps my titles in order. Now I will switch to something other than iPhoto for browsing photos.
