I have had horrible problems after downloading the latest up dates from Apple on my iPad.
Now I have seen lots of problems listed by users after downloading OS X EL Capitan for the MacBookPro.
I'm just a user with no knowledge of the program and systems so is it safe for me to download this latest update?
My initial reaction is to ignore the update but will Apple mess up the existing programs if I don't update.
My faith in Apple is shaky.

If your question is it safe to update to El Capitan?
I say yes it is. I have had no problems at all on either of my Macs nor have the users I help to support.
Remember the these forums are for people with problems. Hence the reason you see problems. In actually fact this has been one of the quieter upgrade in quite some time.

Thanks very much for your note. My confidence returns a little.
Maybe I will give it just a little more time before I download during which time I will watch events.
It took apple 3 weeks to sort my iPad.
I certainly do not have the knowledge to even try and help sort a MacBook.
