Q: Airplay with two MacBooks

I have two macbook pros, two iphones and one ipad.

I can do airplay music with my macbook, my iPhone if I close iTunes, and my iPad, but not my girlfriends MacBook.

Yes, it is on the same Wifi network. Home sharing is on in her iTunes and as far as I know everything is set correctly so she should pick up the APple TV but no luck.

The icon does not show up at all.

What could be wrong?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Have you done any advanced network configuration?

If IPv6 is disabled, AirPlay won’t show up.  That’s the first thing that comes to mind, but it’s unlikely to affect most people since it’s on by default.

Yes, it is on and auto config.

By the way, a lot of people do not know what this stuff is. I had to google it and then IPV6 and El Capitan to find out how to do it. Sometimes its not that simple. One reason for owning a MAC is I really do not want to know anymore than absolutely necessary about how the machine works. I just want it to work. So a lttle more info like where to find whatever IPV6 is would have been helpful.

    Thanks for your attempt.
