How to degauss Apple Thunderbolt Display

Hi everyone,

I have sold my Apple Thunderbolt Display and it was shipped via DHL to its new owner.

He claims now, that the Display is broken. He sent me two pictures where a thin partly green and violet line can be seen around the display.

After doing some research, I found this degaussing issue and I wonder if that's the reason for the problem as the monitor was absolutely fine before I packed it for the shipping.

Degaussing is for CRT monitors only, it will have no effect on a modern monitor.

That doesn't clarify for me what's wrong with the monitor as I would like to be able to find out whether this is a well known issue and what it is that causes it.

I have no idea what happened to it in transit, you need to take this up with the carrier.
