When I select "Music" on my iPad, all I get is a mostly black screen with an apple in the middle followed by the word "Music."

There should be two pill shaped buttons that show up below the Apple Music title.
One of these pill shaped buttons says something to effect take me to my Music.
Tap on this button to get to your music library.
The Apple Music App takes a little time to load.
So, those pill shape buttons will take a littie time to appear.
HHow long is a little time? I've left it on for 10 minutes and nothing comes up. I tried turning it off in System Prefs, but it doesn't work.
Since iCloud and this Apple Music, apple is becoming way too geared toward siphoning a few bucks a month and less user friendly.
Are you sure there is music on your iPad?
Try a reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons.
