Q: can not activate due to not knowing apple id used to set ipod up

help!!! my daughter was given an old ipod by her older sister, pass code was unknown so I restored ipod and now I cant activate because its asking for apple id and password used when first set-up. we no longer know this info because my daughter now uses my apple id and was 10 when she set old one up. Please Help

Best is to have your daughter recover use of the ID previously used. See:
If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support
then
If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If your/your daughter are the original purchaser and have proof of purchase Apple will help to unlock it.
