Importing ALL photos and videos from iphone 6 to Windows 8

My PC/Windows 8 only recognizes SOME of my photos and videos on my iPhone 6. I will import whatever my PC recognizes and then delete them off the iPhone. I then retry importing but get the message that there are no more files to import. I really don't want to e-mail all the remaining photos and some of the videos are too large to e-mail. Is my PC or the iPhone setup to only import certain files? It seems totally random!

I understand that you are unable to import photos and videos from your iPhone. If these photos and videos have not already been imported, take a look at the troubleshooting steps in the article below.
