Q: why my credit card, and no respect for family expence?

Could you explain, why my credit card for family music? why i can't simply use itunes cards? i will miss Rdio, non available anymore in canada. i pay 15$ a month on paypal, that's it that's all, why itune card are no-good for apple? when you need a family share? i will have to go spotify, because apple discourage family.

With 2 kids, and a 5000$ credit card on itune, well i don't want to go bankrupt, but apple won't allow family if no credit card, please explain, this poor support for family expense.

I want control, and cash money is no good

and itune card is not good money for apple, please explain?

    Hey tapajeurs,

I understand that you are looking to clarify some things about Family Sharing and how things are billed. Let's see if I can clear this up for you.

With Family Sharing, you have to set it up with a credit card and for Apple ID for Kids, the credit card is there to comply with child online privacy protection laws but have the option to change it to a different payment method like a debit card. The reason the card has to be there is that the Family Organizer agrees to pay for items and a form of payment needs to be there.

I do know that you are unable to use PayPal for Family Sharing, but you can purchase iTunes Gift Cards to apply to you or your children's account. If they have credit on their account, then that will be billed first before your credit card. Basically, the credit card will be there as back up just in case the credit runs out.

To reduce the amount of charges, you can set them up with Ask To Buy. This will give you the approve or deny option when your kids want to make a purchase.

Take a look at the articles below as they will explain in more details about the things that I just talked about.

thanks, i understand that, my point was: i want to pay with itune card, no credit card for me or my family.

If money runs out, than spending stop!

if i put a credit card in, my risk is very big, and i could get a 1000$ charge that i don't want.

    if i put a 100$ card, than you spend a 100$ and that's it

Why anyone want my credit card, what's wrong with paying cash and control my spending

I already purchases 20000 songs from apple, with credit card and most of them are impulsive choice, so i know the risk with credit card.

Also, not helping, apple music, mess up everything (take my personnal music for download and flush it or not reconize it, i had to redo everything, now in MP3, so i could track them down, if it happen again, when if i decide, not sure yet, to try apple music), i had to work for 6 month to get my playlist on track.

So apple music, is a no go for me, but my kids want it and Rdio shut down in Canada, so in a way Spotifiy is best for me, i pay a fee and that's it, no more risk with the store, i guess?

    regards!
