Extending AP Extreme info pls

Does anyone have a link to the latest instructions to extend wireless service from my AirPort Extreme & Airport Express? The instructions that I found don't match my Airport Utilities. My AP Utilities is Version 6.3.4.

Apple documentation is well out of date..

Unfortunately, Apple has not updated instructions to "extend" a network in over 3 years, so the "link" that you ask about does not likely exist.

We are not sure what "instructions" that you might have found, so if you could provide a bit more information about what it is that you are trying to accomplish, we might be able to help.

For example, do you have an AirPort Extreme that is already set up and you want to 'extend" the network using an AirPort Express?

If that might be the case, will the Express communicate to the Extreme over a wireless connection? Or, are you planning to connect the Express to the Extreme using a wired Ethernet connection?

In most cases, Apple's setup "wizard" in AirPort Utility 6.3.x will basically detect the existing settings on a network and suggest the correct setup for you, but we need a starting point to know what tips to provide to get you started.

it's best to assume that we don't know anything about your network.......(we can't see it)......so please keep in mind that we will only know as much as you tell us.
