reset the phone but its still connected to iTunes devices how do i remove it so i can add mine?

My friend gave me this iPhone 4s that was her brother's, that had passed away, we rest it but it's still connected to his iTunes devices how do i remove it so i can add mine to use the phone? We don't know his apple ID or his password.
