Purchased song not in library

I bought a song as a single and then months later it came out on the album (which I also purchased) but the song does not show up when I play the album on mac or iPhone. In tracks it skips from 1 to 3 and doesn't list the song and on iTunes it says 'purchased' instead of 'play'. How can I get both songs to show in my library and play?
