Can't update iTunes to 12.2.2 on Mac

I updated my Mac to OS X El Capitan, and in the update tab in the app store it doesn't show iTunes 12.2.2 but when I click about iTunes it shows 12.2.1. And when I plug in my iPod touch to the computer, it says "The iPod “Jacq's iPod” cannot be used because it requires iTunes version 12.2.2 or later. Would you like to download the latest version of iTunes now?" and I click download, but it brings me to the app store. I checked the update tab, and it says No Updates Available. Help?
