iPhone 5 is switched off

My iPhone 5 got switched off this morning inspite of the battery being charged 100%. After that its not getting switched on and when the phone is plugged into power, the apple logo comes up and goes off after few seconds. There has been no luck of ot switching on though its been plugged in for more than an hour.
Also, there wasnt any notable issue issue with the phone and it was working fine.

Did you try to connect in recovery mode, as explained in these articles?

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or won't turn on - Apple Support

If you can't update or restore your iOS device

If this does not work, the problem might be hardware related and the phone has to be serviced by Apple of an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
