I have a MM server running 10.6. When I am abroad I like to use it to make phone calls. What I imagine is I connect with my MBP over the WWW to the MM and from there phone out. Is there anybody who knows if this would work and if so how?

What are you trying to achieve by this
Why not just get something like Skype for your Macbook Pro?
I try to achieve using my own land based line to connect with clients. Saves money, and the client does not see I am away from my office.
Skype costs money, is often at best poor quality, I do not trust Microsoft to not listen in etc (remember EU declared the US no longer a safe heaven).
There are plenty of VOIP services, I would use one of them.
Does that connect back to my landline? If not do you have experience with any?
I don't know of any VOIP solutions that connect to a landline, sorry.
So with which VOIP' do you have experience?
Google Voice, Talkatone, FaceTime (limited to iPhone users only)

seem to not be there in m,y part of the world. Here in the EU we do not trust Google to not use data, listen in etc. you might not have gotten this over there but they are being taken to court here for all kinds of misbehaviour (FYI EU declared the US no longer a safe heaven for data etc.).
I don't trust them either, but I don't trust any government, especially EU governments. I trust phone companies even less.
