UP2715k runs with only 2560x2880

I try to get a DELL UP2715k monitor working with a iMac 27" - Late 2015 (AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB). The iMac detects the screen and even allows me to select e.g. 5120 x 2880 - but the screen itself runs always only in 2560x2880. If I disconnect one of the two mDP - it switches to 2560x1440.

I already tried turning it on/off; resetting to factory settings; switch connected ports; different resolution - but it seems like the best I can get is 2560x2880.

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4096 MB

have you considered using some of your 90 days of free AppleCare telephone support. They can tell you what is needed or what the display output specifications call for. It is possible you are using a wrong adapter.
