Bento: License code/registration number?

Question

Bento: License code/registration number?

I have owned and used Bento (version 4.1.2) on my Mac mini (OS 10.8.5) for some years. Recently it became damaged as a result of a computer problem, but I have been able to download a functioning copy from MacUpdate.

FileMaker (an Apple affiliate, I believe) no longer supply or support it. Unfortunately, my original one was purchased from the Apple App Store and so I do not have a license code so as to allow me to unlock the newly downloaded one after the 30-day trial period. It is vital for me in my teaching work to have access to my Bento files. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to share their license code with me or tell me where I might be able to acquire one? I am willing to pay for it.

Try contacting Filemaker to see if they have a record of your license code.

Thanks, Eric. I actually wrote to FileMaker before posting here, but have not had a reply yet. The trouble is that, as I said, I bought Bento from the Apple App Store (which does not supply license keys or registration codes), and it seems unlikely that FileMaker will have a record of my purchase. But I live in hopes...

In the meantime, I should be grateful for any other ideas.

Hi Michael, I no longer use Bento (4) so I have no issue handing my license code for it over to you. Question is how?

I set up a temp telephone number that can receive texts ############ send a text there and I'll send the code back to you, writhe the number down, our hosts will kill it fast, and I will kill the number in a short time.

Hi Csound1 again,

That telephone number didn't work because I don't know where you are and so I could not preface it with the international dialling code. I'll guess that you are in the USA and try again. But email might still be the easiest.

Alternatively, if you prefer, you could text it to me at ############ prefaced by whatever the dialling code is from wherever you are to the UK. If you are not in the UK, please omit the initial 0 before prefacing the number with the dialling code.
