I want to change my Apple ID email. How do I do this and keep everything I currently have in iCloud and Photos? And will this change on my mobile devices?

You can only change your Apple ID email address if it is a non Apple address, is this the case?
Yes. I created a new Apple ID using my gmail address but when I get to Manage Your Apple ID there is no edit button next to my current Apple ID which the instructions tell me to click.
Is it stil waiting to be verified.
No. The new ID has been verified. Thanks for trying to help me with this. I really want to change my Apple ID.
There has to be some reason you can't edit it as usually (except in the case of an Apple address) you can.
I have the ability to edit mine.

Why do you want to do this?
When I asked about this previously you indicated it was a gmail address you wanted to change. As I said earlier you cannot change an Apple address whether it be a primary address or an alternate address. If you don't like the Apple address you have created may I suggest you use an alias.
You can create an email alias to use alongside it, you can do this at iCloud.com > Mail > Settings (gear icon at the bottom of the page) > Preferences > Accounts
Thank you! I have set up an Alias. Can I use my alias to log into my primary account? If so how do I do that? What does the alias do for me?
No, you can only log in with your Primary or Alternate ID, an alias is an alternate address. The alias is to use as an email address to send and receive email from.
