White screen can see mouse curser

Ok so I have a MacBook Pro, I restarted because it was running slow and now I am stuck with a white screen. The weird part is everything else seems to work. When turned on it makes the chime, the apple logo comes up (then goes away), I Can see the mouse curse, the keyboard lights up, keys make that beep noise if you tap them and the screen saver will even comes on, and when i hold the power button I get the box that asks if you want to restart, shut down ect.

Any suggestions on how to fix it??
